InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort is in Raa Atoll and has private beach, lagoon, and overwater villas and residences. There are five restaurants where you can follow the chefs' adventurous and creative ideas and let your taste buds go on a trip through the world of food. From Mediterranean tapas with 360-degree views at The Lighthouse to sea-to-table South Asian inspired dining at The Fish Market and a fusion of cross-continental flavors at Café Umi, you can expect organic, local, and sustainable ingredients in thoughtfully curated settings. The Sunset Bar has creatively made cocktails, and The Retreat is a place for adults to get together and talk with views of the deep blue lagoon. With Dining by Design, guests can add a higher level of personalization by going on a sunset cruise, enjoying a gourmet picnic, or watching a movie under the stars.
Guests of Club InterContinental can get afternoon tea, an aperitif in the evening at the Pool Bar, and drinks all day at The Retreat and The Pool Bar.
The Marine Discovery Centre shows films that teach people about marine life and works with the Manta Trust Foundation. Guests can go snorkeling to explore or even make a difference by taking care of a Manta.

Map & Location
After you land at Velana International Airport (Male), our Airport Representatives will meet you and take you to check in for your 35-minute seaplane ride to Maamunagau Island. This will happen after all immigration procedures have been completed. A private transfer will take you to the InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort Lounge at the Seaplane Terminal, where you can rest and relax in comfort while our Airport Representatives take great care of you until your flight.
For international flights that arrive after 3:30 p.m., there will be a 20-minute domestic flight to Dharavandhoo Domestic Airport and then a short speedboat ride.

Avalon Collective showed how the resort's interior design was inspired by their ideas through the villas' subtle luxury. The InterContinental Maldives was designed around the idea of "Mussafir," an Arabic word that means "wanderlust" and "colorful gypsy life." This idea shows up in the resort's many art pieces and architectural finishes, which are typical of modern Maldivian design.
Inspired by the idea of a "Musaffir" or "Gypsy traveler," you'll love the splashes of color from Maldivian acrylics, the collections of carpets sewn together, and the interesting tapestries on the walls. All of these things are put together in an eclectic way to make a home feel warm and welcoming.

THE RETREAT
An adults only enclave perched overwater with stunning views of the lagoon, The Retreat is an ideal venue for uninterrupted time for yourself. Spend your morning lazing by the pool with a curated cocktail to cool you down followed by a selection of sweet and sacvoury finger food paired with an exquisite selection of tea and end the day with sundowners or evening digestifs of premium wines and cheese.
THE COLLECTIVE
Located adjacent to the main pool, The Collective offers picturesque views of the beach and the ocean and houses "The Deli" serving delicious fresh juices, pastries and healthy wraps, a "Pizzeria" serving wood fired pizza, a "Gelato Bar" and the Island Boutique.
CAFE UMI
Start the day with a hearty breakfast indulging in traditional favourites alongside authentic Asian selections, cooked-to-order dishes or mouthwatering pastries as you take in the majestic morning views from Café Umi. The relaxed ambience of Café Umi is the perfect place to tuck into a light lunch or to enjoy the extensive menu on offer for dinner.
For a more interactive dining experience, book at table at the teppanayaki counter where our chefs will serve up sizzling dishes whilst entertaining you with their theatrical culinary flair.
FISH MARKET
Blending the freshest Maldivian seafood with aromatic flavours from South East Asia, Fish Market is a unique sea-to-table, interactive kitchen concept where guests select their own seafood under the knowledgeable guidance of our chefs. Designed as a hub of connectivity, our overwater restaurant is a favourite for sunset dining.
LIGHTHOUSE

X JET BLADE
An exhilarating activity allowing you to experience the thrill of flying! Swirl and soar as high as you can go using jet propulsion to keep upright. Whether you are trying for the first time or experienced, our instructors will conduct a safety briefing and lesson before you set of on this thrilling experience.
PARASAILING
Soar above the Maamunagau lagoon taking in a bird's eye view of the island and our surroundings as you gently glide above the ocean harnessed to an open parachute towed by a speedboat under the supervision of our trained team.
WATER SPORTS
The Indian Ocean is one of the World's best destinations to experience crystal clear water visibility and rich marine life. Maamunagau Island is blessed with a large lagoon which surrounds the entire island and is home to several snorkeling spots, thriving with diverse fish, black tip reef sharks, dolphins and turtles. Swim amongst the majestic manta rays in the Maamunagau house reef as the manta's migrate between atolls or simply admire the diverse colours of the corals in the crystal clear blue waters. Managed by Ocean Group, the Resort also offer a list of water sports which guests can partake and all non-motorised water sports are complimentary.
